CACMA – CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH MEN ASSOCIATION
1. ABOUT CACMA
The association was established in 1952
Members consist of ALL mail adults in the church to look after the following:
Over the period, it has largely metamorphosed into looking after the whole of the church.
CACMA is therefore all about ‘being there for one another’ thus
TYPES OF SERVICES WE PROVIDE
We have in the past (and are still) provided the following services
Prayers / prayer meetings:
We regularly organize prayer sessions, especially those that are specific to MEN’s issues.
Apart from scheduled meetings, we do also organize REVIVAL SESSIONS.
We Endeavour to meet the needs, especially those that are unique to men and to church in general.
As the umbrella association for all men, irrespective of whether they do belong to a band or not, we compliment and cut across all activities that obtain in individual men’s bands
Other activities in the past included
– Provision of platform of enlightenment in forms of
a. Seminars / workshops,
c. Outside visits
– During these occasions, specialists were invited from within and outside the church to enlighten us on aspects of our lives given our environment.
Seminars / workshops / lectures on
1. immigration issues
2. business startup/ improvement / investment / finance
4. Housing / property purchase
5. Health / Health improvement
6. Family issues
b. Child rearing
We have largely organized hospital and home visits etc for those that were ill. Whenever we could, we offered support.
It is noteworthy that during some of these activities, women were also invited.
In terms of outcome, we were adjudged to be beneficial to members.
Family Counseling unit
The Unit of the church is the family. A church full of families with discord is not likely to be a happy one. We are currently proposing FAMILY COUNSELLING UNIT; with emphasis especially on MARRIAGE related issues. Opportunities abound for FREE TRAINING as VOLUNTEER MARRIAGE COUNSELLORS. We have started encouraging members to take this up. Interested members of the church are advised to ask the CACMA secretary for further information.
Finance / business
This is our own way of encouraging members, supporting financial circumstances of men in need, especially those that are desirous of starting their own businesses but with problem of raising start – up capital.-
Profits accrued will also invariably help the church
